Trying to secure help for my child

I agree in Manitoba we have a severe shortage of clinicians and treatment facilities for mental health problems. I have spent a frantic 2 weeks trying to secure help for my child who was diagnosed with a mental health issue. Despite the diagnosis and medications to manage the symptoms and periodic counselling my child’s condition continued to worsen to the point I and the family feared for my child’s life. Meanwhile the psychiatrist and psychologist on the team treating my child agreed for the need immediate need for a secure facility and intensive counselling none are nor would be available for a long time,unless my child 1st unsuccessfully attempted suicide,was sexually exploited or involved with the criminal justice system. We have secured a placement in a private facility outside the province as none was available within,it will likely ruin us financially,unless we can find some assistance,but in the end what price do you put on a human life.
