Since there is a shortage of affordable housing for the people with mental illness,the Government should expand the number of safe,affordable independent housing units in order make recovery possible.

Dear Prime Minister Harper and Cabinet,
Will you and your government commit to a goal to provide affordable home for the mentally ill in our province?
Providing affordable home for the mentally ill is such an important goal that it needs a specific committee so that the need of permanent supported housing is not lost in the bureaucracy of government and its agencies.
Will you undertake to conduct annual counts of the mentally ill who are homeless and of the number of units of permanent supported housing that are being built or provided?
As a voter,a tax payer and a compassionate citizen I am concerned that not enough is being done to support the mentally ill to find housing.
I would like a personal acknowledgment of my letter with answers to my questions.
