Since there is a shortage of affordable housing for the people with mental illness, the Government should expand the number of safe, affordable independent housing units in order make recovery possible.

St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church

St Andrew’s-Wesley United Church has made a commitment to provide rent support of $6,000.00 per year for one mentally ill person to transition from dependent living to living on his/her own. Help us meet this goal by making a donation. No donation is too small. All donation are forwarded to Coast Mental Health who provide professional support to mentally ill people make the transition.

St Andrew’s-Wesley is pleased to announce that it has raised $,60o0.00 to support one person for one year. We are now raising funds for the second year of support for the same person. As a rule a mentally ill person requires support for three years to make the transition to independent.
