St Andrew’s-Wesley United Church
St Andrew’s-Wesley has made a three year commitment to provide rent support of $6,000.00 per year for one mentally ill person to transition from dependent living to living on his/her own. Help us meet this goal by making a donation. No donation is too small. All donation are forwarded to Coast Mental Health who provide professional support to mentally ill people make the transition.
St Andrew’s-Wesley is pleased to announce that it has raised $12,000.00 to support one person for two years. We are now raising funds for the third year of support for the same person. As a rule a mentally ill person requires support for about three years to make the transition to independent living. This time is required for some retraining, finding employment and earning enough to support themselves.
